NextAxiom Technology (NxA) is a software platform and solution services company based in San Francisco, California.
As a starting point, NxA has focused its technological advantage and unique expertise on providing on-premise value to the Utility sector globally. Our solution services are often focused on software interface problems that are hard to solve. These problems typically cannot be solved within time and budget constraints using traditional SOA middleware alone. We solve these problems by rapidly and cost-effectively delivering mission-critical composite applications, integration and interface solutions around the existing core business systems. By "rapidly", we mean at least 8X faster to deploy and change and by "cost-effectively" we mean delivering an average of 60% reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) compared with traditional SOA middleware alone. Our goal is to become the preferred enterprise vendor of the Utility companies for enabling high value composite applications and software interface solutions.

The NextAxiom platform introduces both a fundamentally new approach to software modularization and a new "metered" software licensing model, in conjunction with traditional licensing models, that breaks new ground in business agility. Composite business applications and value-added services built on these reusable components are significantly easier to modify, manage and to integrate with existing software assets. Enterprises and Software Vendors (ISV, ASP and SaaS vendors) deploy the NextAxiom Hyperservice Platform to rapidly unlock the value of their legacy software assets and unleash additional value from integrated business services.
Vision
NextAxiom's ground-breaking platform will ultimately result in the convergence of two industries, Telecommunication and Business Software. The convergence will be "key" enabled through a hosted version of the NextAxiom platform-as-a-service that is metered like electricity with Telecos as the global channel for delivering the "SaaS Superhighway":
History
NxA was founded in year 2000 and put the first version of its platform, the Hyperservice Business Platform, into live production at a Fortune 500 company in late 2002. Today, we take pride in the fact that Version 7 of our robust platform is deployed in some of the largest Utility companies worldwide. We have accomplished this without venture capital and thus have managed to preserve the integrity of our original vision and values which over eight years ago embarked us on this rewarding journey.Technology
From a technical perspective, the Hyperservice Business Platform is a metadata driven software modularization platform that uses "in-memory services" as its elementary software building block. This results in a purely service-oriented solution with high-performance "SOA inside" where each in-memory service module can be transparently externalized as a standard-based Web service or can be automatically virtualized across systems bringing together the concepts of SaaS, SOA and Virtualization. This software modularization technique is based on a revolutionary concept in programming called Service Oriented Programming.
The SOP foundation of Hyperservices unifies integration and component development into a single paradigm and reduces the need for complex middleware. The semantic, metadata driven aspect of Hyperservices significantly reduced the time and cost to develop, deploy and modify solutions. The unique service composition technique of SOP, with "SOA inside", solves the problem of software application integration. The Hyperservice Business platform includes a Service Runtime Environment (SRE) that runs on top of the first and only Service Virtual Machine (SVM) in the software industry. It also includes a comprehensive, zero code, zero script development Studio and a suite of management and governance tools.
NextAxiom has proudly been on the cutting edge of technology with several patented and patent-pending innovations.
